Region 4 Website
Each March, the Great Lakes Region (GLR) of the American Hosta Society hosts a gathering of approximately 500 enthusiastic gardeners from the Midwest and other parts of US, Canada, and even Europe. This Friday evening of socializing and activities and full Saturday of classes about Hosta and related gardening topics is called Hosta College, because it takes place at Upper Valley Joint Vocational School in Piqua, Ohio, and functions just like higher education!
Persons who belong to one of the local societies with membership in the Great Lakes Region receive preferential registration and a reduced registration fee. (In 2008, the registration fee is $40 for GLR members, $55 registration fee for non-members.)
Contact Chuck Olescyski at <cvoaeo@zbzoom.net> for information about volunteer teachers or Ran Lydell <<ranbl@netsync.net> about vending and consult the Hosta College website for the class schedule and more.
