#102 is from a seedling that Bill Meyers had given to Art Wrede and Art crossed it with "One Man's Treasure". Art had a bunch of trays labeled #102.

#102 has red petioles and a white back.

Here is one that spent the winter in my garage. It's has a frosted look on the top of the leaf. I have a couple of others that are just shiny on top.

(If you look down at the "signature" box at the bottom of this post, you will see two pictures of hosta flowers. The flowers in the picture on the right are from two other #102 types that I have.)

Ed, thanks for posting this one. I too have a few plants with the #102 tag that are possibly seedlings. They all have a different look from Art's other seedlings so my assumption is they are of a different linage. Glad to see your plants coming back nice and strong after this long, cold winter.

I also have a couple marked #56. But the darn deer tore my "best" one out of the ground. Now it's just a nub with a couple of roots. I was hoping to see flowers on it this season but I'll be lucky if it survives.

I still have hope of seeing another small one develop.

A couple of photos of #102's. They are obviously different forms. The dark one has dark flowers while the lighter one has light colored flowers.

Edit 2/14/2016 : These have been named in 2016. "Dark Branching Treasure" for the dark one and "Enlightened Treasure" for the lighter one.

The flowers in the picture on the right in the "signature" box are from these two plants last season.

Found a tag in one of the #102 pots that says #102 is a cross of Bill's White Back with One Man's Treasure.

The frosted one at the top of this topic didn't flower.

Rabbits took off the scapes on the other 2 mentioned here. Here are their flowers from last season.

Another #102 did put up flowers this season.

Here is the scape from the dark-flowered #102 showing a branch coming off the main scape. Shame the rabbits got to it.

Here is the "Frosted" version today.

Edit: 2/14/2016 - this one has been named "Frosted Treasure".

A fifth version "exploded" this season. It didn't look like much last season but a re-potting has helped it.

Here is the leaf-back of that fifth version. I think the odd edge coloration is frost damage. It's there in the morning but not in the evening - I saw another plant do that a few years age.
